Daniel Alfocea Academy

Before you ask

Who I am, whether it is a program or a subscription, what you get, whether the certificate can be checked and what happens if it doesn't work for you.

If you have just arrived

Who are you?

Daniel Alfocea. I have 20 years in development and security, and every week I step into a different client’s system.

For you that means one thing: I built what I teach before, getting paid for it. The rest is on danielalfocea.com.

Is this a program or a subscription?

You buy a single program and it is yours. There is no monthly fee and no renewal you might forget to cancel.

Access is for life and, when I update the program, you get the new version without paying again.

Do I need to know MCP to start?

No. The program starts by assuming you code and have used a model as a user, and nothing more.

Each page says where it starts and what I assume you know, before you pay. If you lack the basics, you read it there and save yourself the purchase.

Can I see something before paying?

Yes. Every published program has at least one open lesson that you can watch in full without registering and without leaving your email.

And if you want a sense of how I explain things, I write an email a day and it is free.

How do I know the certificate is worth anything?

Because it can be checked. Each certificate has a public verification page: whoever receives it opens it and sees in two seconds that it is yours, for which program and of which type.

There are two, and they are not the same. The certificate of achievement is issued if you pass the final exam. The certificate of attendance, if you watch the whole program and don’t pass the exam or the program has none.

What it is not: an official qualification. Nobody accredits it, so it is no use for a civil service exam or for continuing-education credits. It is useful to show, and so that whoever looks at it knows it is real.

And if it doesn’t work for me?

Each page has a section that says who it is not for, and it is not decoration: it is written so you back out if that is your case.

Read it before the syllabus. I would rather lose the sale than have you make it and then both of us lose the afternoon.

The terms of purchase say exactly what happens after you buy. They are linked in the footer and in the checkout itself.

What almost everyone thinks and almost nobody writes

“I already know this”

Maybe. Knowing what something is and having built it five times are not the same, and the program is designed for the second.

If you already have that in production and working, don’t buy it. It will fall short for you, and I would rather tell you here than read it in an email from you next week.

“This is in the official documentation”

Almost all of it, yes. And the car manual also has the torque for the wheel nuts.

What is not in the documentation is what breaks when you put it in front of a client. Nor which of the ten ways of doing it is still standing a year later. That is what you pay for, so you don’t learn it yourself through lost afternoons.

“I don’t have time for that many hours of video”

Nobody does, me least of all.

That is why the programs come in modules that can be watched separately and almost always in no required order. Two sessions a week and you finish.

If you still think you won’t find the time, don’t buy it yet. A program you never open is wasted money, and a guilty conscience on top.

“Why pay when YouTube has free videos?”

Because on YouTube you get the pieces and here you get the order.

The syllabus is built to take you from having nothing to having something running, with the steps in the right place and without the fifteen detours that cost me a month. What you buy is the month you won’t lose.

And there is another part that is not in any standalone video: I can answer you.

“Will this be out of date in six months?”

Part of it, yes, and I won’t tell you otherwise.

The fundamentals hold. The tools around them change every quarter. When something gets old I update the program, and if you bought it, you get the new version without paying again.

“Is it good for my team?”

If they are struggling with the same thing as you, yes. See For companies: up to 10 seats are bought online with a single invoice, and whoever you choose hands them out. It is not eligible for FUNDAE subsidies.

The boring part, which also has to be said

How long do I have access?

Each program’s page says so, because they are not all the same. Today’s are lifetime access, with updates included.

Do you give me an invoice?

Yes, always, and it is issued automatically. If you enter your company’s tax ID at checkout, the invoice is made out to the company.

It arrives by email, separately from the purchase email, as soon as it is issued. You also have it in your account, to download whenever you want.

How many times can I take the exam?

Each program sets it and its page says so before you buy.

And if I get stuck?

You write. Reply to any of the emails I have sent you and that opens a ticket with me, with no forms to hunt for.

I reply myself. I can’t promise a deadline: sometimes I answer the same day and sometimes it takes me longer.

Do I get a refund?

Not once you open the program. The 14 days the law gives lapse when the content starts, and starting it means keeping it. It is in the terms and the checkout asks you to accept it.

That is why there is an open lesson before you pay: watch it, because it is the only thing I can offer in place of a refund.

Is it in English?

The site is, but the programs are taught in Spanish. The lessons, videos and materials are in Spanish.

Can I download the videos?

No. The videos are watched inside the platform. The PDFs, cheat sheets and code can be downloaded and are yours.

Where do I start?

With the programs. There are few of them and in two minutes you know whether any is for you.
