Who it is for
Security managers, executives, and finance, support, reception and customer service teams who want to detect and block phone and email scams.
About the program
The weakest link isn’t a system, it’s a person
76 minutes of video so your team can detect and block phone and email scams.
Language: the course is taught in Spanish. The videos are in Spanish. This page is the English description only.
If you look for ways to protect your company, you find antivirus, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Almost nobody talks about the threat you can’t patch.
The one that walks in through the front door or calls on the phone.
One phone call, without writing a line of code
A security expert accepted a journalist’s challenge: steal his data by calling his phone company.
She played a video of a crying baby on YouTube. She called. She posed as his wife, overwhelmed, who urgently needed to get into the account.
In under 10 minutes she had control. She had changed the password and could see all his data.
There was no exploit. There was urgency, empathy and a believable story, and the support agent skipped the protocols to “help her”.
And it’s not a movie scene. It’s what happens every day:
- A finance employee gets a call “from the bank”.
- A support technician is pressured by a “VIP customer”.
- An executive approves a fake invoice because the email seemed to come from the CEO.
All of it happens in the same conversation, with the same script.
Who is telling you this
I’m Daniel Alfocea. I’ve spent twenty years in development and security, and I’ve written a few audit tools (GoLismero, Plecost, Dockerscan).
I’ve spent years analyzing these attacks. And I’ve seen that they all use the same tactics. This course comes from that.
I want it, I'll protect my team
What you get
You start with the basics: what social engineering is and what it isn’t. Without that clear line, you don’t know what to watch for.
Then, how an attack is put together. Where an attacker gets information about your people and how they join up data that looks harmless.
There’s a whole lesson on the script. We go through it phrase by phrase, so you see the psychology behind each word and how to defuse it.
And a live demonstration, so you stop thinking this only happens in movies.
Then, why it works. Seven influence techniques used to win someone’s trust: remembering their name, listening to them, making them feel important, letting them save face. Attackers use them, and you recognize them once they’re explained.
The course ends with how to prevent it: a simple verification protocol, and making hang up and verify the norm on your team and not the exception.
I won’t tell you here how it’s done. It’s all inside, on video.
I want to see how an attack is defused
What it costs
€60, one payment, and the course is yours for good.
It is not an audit or a complete security plan. It’s 76 minutes so that whoever picks up the phone can recognize the play and has one move to apply: hang up and verify.
If you’re looking for advanced technical training, this isn’t it.
Cheers,
Dani
P.S. If you’re unsure, watch the open lesson first. In 3 minutes you’ll know how I work and whether this is for your team.
