Terms and conditions of sale

What we sell, how to buy, withdrawal, refunds, licence of use and certificates at Daniel Alfocea Academy. Alice & Bob, S.L.

This is a translation for convenience. The Spanish version is the legally binding one.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

These terms govern the purchase of courses, books, audios and other content at academy.danielalfocea.com. By ticking the acceptance box in the purchase process, you accept what this document says.

It is written to be understood. What matters most —what can cost you money or access to what you bought— is in sections 5 (withdrawal), 6 (our refund guarantee) and 12 bis (what to do if what you bought was not what you were promised). Read them.

The content is created and signed by Daniel Alfocea (some courses are taught by someone else, and the product page always says so). The one who sells, invoices, charges and answers to you is Alice & Bob, S.L.

To create an account or buy on the platform you must be 18 years of age or older (decided by Dani on 2026-09-01; same number in the privacy policy, section 6). At sign-up we ask you to declare it expressly. We do not knowingly create accounts for people under that age.

2. What is sold

The platform sells products, and each one is in one of these five formats:

FormatWhat it is
CourseLessons organised in modules or in a single list. It may have release by dates, prerequisites, an exam and a certificate
MasterclassOne long video with chapters. No modules or exam
AudioA series of ordered tracks, with its own player
BookAn EPUB or a PDF, read on the platform with our reader, with no need to download it
DocumentA short file. It is read on the platform, and downloaded only if its page says so. Many are free

In addition, two groupings are sold, each with its own price:

  • Pack: a closed set of products.
  • Path: a recommended sequence of products, which you can buy whole or course by course.

You buy the whole product, never a single lesson. A pack or a path is not studied in itself: when you pay for it, it gives you access to each of the products it contains.

There is free content. A product at €0 does not go through the payment gateway, generates no invoice and, as you have paid nothing, there is nothing to refund.

Some catalogue pages are showcase only: a book that is bought on Amazon, with a link that takes you there. That is not a sale by us and is not governed by these terms.

3. Before buying: what the product page has to tell you

On the page of each product, pack or path, before paying, you will find:

  • The final price, with VAT already included. There is never a permanent crossed-out «before X, now Y» price.
  • How long your access lasts: lifetime or N days from purchase. If it is temporary, it says so prominently, not in small print.
  • The refund policy, including our commercial guarantee in section 6 and its limits: for a single product, the period and the 50% consumption limit (6.2); for a pack or a path, its own rule that it is lost on opening any of its products (6.3), which is different and is also stated here before you pay.
  • Who teaches it, the syllabus, the level and who it is aimed at.
  • Whether it has a certificate and, where applicable, whether that certificate expires.
  • In courses, at least one sample lesson that you can watch without registering.

Launch prices and countdowns are real. When you see a countdown, there is a specific date and time behind it; when it arrives, the price goes back to the ordinary one on its own. We do not use fake or resetting countdowns.

An offer announced as unrepeatable is not repeated. If a launch price or a promotion is presented as one-off or as not coming back, we do not offer it again, under another name or on another date, on the same product. We may later launch a different offer on that same product —another discount, other conditions—, provided that it is not also announced as unrepeatable if it is not.

For packs, the page warns you that it may include products you already have and, if you have logged in, tells you which ones. The pack is paid in full: the part you already have is not deducted, because the pack price is already lower than buying the products separately.

4. How to buy

  1. You add whatever you want to the cart. You can buy several products at once.
  2. You go to payment. There, prices are frozen for 30 minutes: if the price changes while you pay, you pay the frozen one.
  3. You give us your email and your country. If you buy as a company, also the company name, tax ID or VAT number and address; we validate the intra-community tax ID in the VIES register at that moment and, if applicable, the total goes down in front of you.
  4. You can apply a discount coupon or an affiliate’s code. Even if you use both, only one discount is applied: they are not added together.
  5. You can tick the add-ons offered to you; each one enters as one more line of the same order and the total is recalculated before you confirm.
  6. You tick the mandatory boxes (section 5) and pay by card, inside our own page. Payment is processed by Stripe: your card details do not pass through us.
  7. If the payment is rejected, we tell you why in plain language and you do not lose what you had filled in.
  8. When the payment is confirmed you have immediate access, and you receive a confirmation email with the access and with your waiver of withdrawal reproduced. The invoice arrives in a separate email, as soon as it is issued.

There is no guest checkout. If the email you pay with has no account, we create one at that very moment; that email becomes your way in. There is no password: you log in with a link and a code that we send you.

After paying we may offer you one additional offer with a single click. If you accept it, a new order and its own invoice are generated; the order you already paid is never touched.

5. Your right of withdrawal, and why you waive it

This section is the most important in the document.

5.1. What the law says

As a consumer you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from a distance purchase, without giving reasons and without penalty (article 102 of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007).

5.2. The digital content exception

That right does not apply to the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium when performance has begun with your prior express consent and with your acknowledgement that, as a consequence, you lose the right of withdrawal (article 103, letter m, of the same consolidated text).

Everything we sell is digital content with immediate access: the moment you pay, the content is in your account. That is why the purchase process asks you for that consent always, as a mandatory step: without ticking it, the pay button is not enabled.

5.3. What exactly you accept when you buy

At the time of payment you have to tick this box. It does not come pre-ticked:

I want to access the content right now, without waiting for the 14 calendar days I have to withdraw. I understand that, once delivery of the content begins, I lose the right of withdrawal over what I am buying (article 103.m of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users).

It is a box separate from the one for accepting these terms and the privacy policy, and separate from the one for receiving commercial emails. We record that you ticked it, the date and the IP address, and we reproduce it for you in the purchase confirmation email, which is your proof on a durable medium (article 98.2 of the same consolidated text).

This wording is used the same way for a single product, a pack or a path, and also for products with temporary access: in all cases the consent refers to «what I am buying», whatever its format or duration, so no different variant per product type is needed. The purchase confirmation email reproduces this same box with the same text, without summarising or paraphrasing it, so that it serves as proof on a durable medium. You can read article 103.m in full in the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users (in Spanish).

5.4. If you do not waive

If for any reason you buy without having waived, you keep the full 14 days of withdrawal, even if you have consumed the content. In that case write to us and we refund you. Our commercial guarantee in section 6 cannot be used to deny you a legal withdrawal: they are different things.

Even though the right of withdrawal is excluded in most purchases on this platform, the law requires us to make the official form template available to you, in case yours is one of those that do keep the right (section 5.4). This is the template, with our details already filled in:

WITHDRAWAL FORM TEMPLATE (you only need to fill in and send this form if you want to withdraw from the contract)

— For the attention of Alice & Bob, S.L., Calle Marie Curie, 7, Edificio Beta, Planta 7 Ático — Parque Empresarial Rivas Futura, 28521 Rivas-Vaciamadrid (Madrid), email [email protected]: — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of purchase of the following product: — Ordered on / received on: — Name of the consumer: — Address of the consumer: — Signature of the consumer (only if this form is submitted on paper): — Date:

This template is published in the platform’s footer, together with the other legal documents, and is also attached to the purchase confirmation email.

6. Our refund guarantee (it goes beyond the law)

Even if you have waived withdrawal, we give you, on our own account, a possibility of refund. It is a voluntary commercial guarantee: we give it because we want to, on these terms, and it does not cut any right the law recognises for you.

6.1. The period

Each product, pack or path has its own refund period, and the product page says so before you buy.

6.2. The 50% limit

If you have consumed more than 50% of a product, there is no refund by this route.

That 50% is measured on what you have really watched or read: the sum of the distinct segments you have consumed. Repeating a segment does not count twice. It applies equally to a course, a masterclass, an audio, a book or a document.

6.3. Packs and paths: lost on opening

In a pack or a path the 50% is not measured. You lose the right to a refund as soon as you open any of the products it contains, even if the rest is untouched.

  • What counts as «opening»: having consumed more than two minutes of content from any of the products. Going into a lesson out of curiosity and leaving does not count.
  • If you have not opened any, and you are within the period, it is refunded in full, as normal.

The reason is simple, and we say it because it is your money: if we measured the 50% over the whole pack, someone could consume in full the one course that interests them —perhaps 25% of the pack— and ask for a refund of everything, keeping that course for free.

This rule is announced in four places before you pay: in these terms, on the product page, in the payment process and in the purchase confirmation email. The page of a pack or a path states it expressly, because its conditions differ from those of a single product.

6.4. How to ask

From the detail of your order, in your private area, there is a button to request a refund. A request is opened with our support with the order, the line you point to and your progress attached. It is not executed automatically: we review it and reply to you.

6.5. What happens when it is approved

  • The refund is always of the whole line of the order, never a part.
  • You lose access to what is refunded, always and without exceptions.
  • We issue the corresponding credit note.
  • If the product carried an issued certificate, that certificate is annulled; its verification link stays live and says it was revoked, with the date.

7. VAT and invoice

  • All the prices you see include VAT. The applicable VAT rate depends on the product —it may be the standard rate, a reduced one or, if applicable, an exemption— and is shown itemised on the product page and in the payment process before you confirm the purchase. This document does not set a single percentage because it is not the same for the whole catalogue.
  • The country that decides which VAT applies is determined from what you declare, the country of your card and your IP address, as VAT rules require.
  • If you buy as a company from another country of the European Union with a valid intra-community tax ID, the reverse charge applies and the total goes down.
  • We issue an invoice for every sale, with the details of Alice & Bob, S.L. It reaches you by email. By default it is a simplified invoice if the total does not exceed €400, VAT included, the limit in article 4.1 of Royal Decree 1619/2012; if you want the full invoice with your name and address, tick the corresponding box at payment. Above €400 the full invoice is mandatory and we ask you for those details even if you do not tick it.
  • Free products do not generate an invoice.

8. Your access and your account

8.1. Duration

Each product says whether access is lifetime or temporary. If it is temporary, we notify you 30 days and 7 days before it expires, and again when it expires, with the option to renew.

«Lifetime» means while the course remains published in the catalogue, not for as long as you live nor for as long as the platform exists in the abstract: it is the life of the course, not of the student. Specifically:

  • While the product remains published, you keep your access with no time limit, whether you have used it or not.
  • If at some point we decide to withdraw a product from the catalogue, we give advance notice to those with lifetime access, before it ceases to be available, so that they can finish it.
  • Lifetime access includes no commitment that the content can be downloaded: it is access to study it on the platform while it remains published, not a copy that stays with you forever outside it, unless the product page expressly declares it downloadable (section 8.3).
  • The teacher who taught a course ceasing to work with us does not affect your access: whoever has already bought it with lifetime access keeps it while the course remains published, in accordance with the licence each teacher grants us (section 4 of the legal notice).

8.2. One licence, one person

Each purchase gives access to one person only: the holder of the account with which it was bought. The account is personal and non-transferable. You may not lend, share, rent or sell it.

This also applies to companies. A seat is used by a single employee; if three people are going to train, three seats and three accounts are needed. A company cannot buy one licence and distribute it among its staff, or use a common account for several employees (company seats are contracted as section 11 says).

So that this is enforceable and not just a sentence, the platform sets limits and we tell you in advance:

  • You can have 5 active sessions at once. They are for you to study from your own devices (the laptop, the phone, the tablet), not to be distributed among several people. When you open the sixth, the oldest is closed, and you see it in both places: on the new device and on the one that was closed.
  • You can have 2 devices with offline download in the mobile application (section 8.3).
  • Sessions expire after 90 days without being used.
  • If we detect 3 simultaneous sessions from different IP addresses and browsers within 10 minutes, we take it that the account is being used by several people and we block it. Only we unblock it, by hand.

If we block you, you receive an email explaining the reason, and you can reply to that same email to dispute it. If it was a mistake, we unblock it.

To detect all this we only look at the session identifier, the IP address and the browser. We do not do fingerprinting and we do not geolocate you.

8.3. What you can do with the content

Buying gives you a licence for personal, named, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable use: it lets you study the content yourself, and only you, inside the platform and its mobile application.

The content is not downloaded. The only exception is a product whose page expressly says it is downloadable, such as some free documents. If the page does not say so, there is no download, even if technically you find a way to save it.

The mobile application lets you save lessons to watch offline. That is not a download: the content is stored encrypted inside the application, can only be opened with it and with your account, and disappears if you log out, delete the application or lose access to the product.

You may not distribute it in any way: sharing it, republishing it, reselling it, lending it, uploading it anywhere, using it to train third parties, or extracting it in an automated way. This also applies to whatever is downloadable: you download it for yourself. The only exception is that the rights holder authorises it expressly and in writing; without that writing, the answer is no. Nor may you remove or alter the marks that identify it.

To protect the content, a moving watermark with your email or your identifier is painted over the video, and the PDFs, EPUBs and audios that can be downloaded are stamped with data that identify you. That way we can know where a copy that turns up somewhere came from.

If you break this we may block your account and, if the breach is serious or repeated, terminate the contract and leave you without access to the content. That termination gives you no right to a refund of the price paid: it is different from the commercial guarantee in section 6 and from the lack of conformity in section 12 bis, which only apply when the breach is ours, not yours. If your breach causes us damage greater than the price of the product, we may claim it from you separately.

9. What you publish

In your public profile, in your ratings and in assignment submissions, you write it yourself. You answer for what you write: that it is yours, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights and that it is not illegal or offensive. We may remove what does not comply.

Only someone who has bought a product can rate it, once per product, and the rating is editable.

In the current version nobody marks assignment submissions: they are recorded as submitted.

10. Certificates

Some courses issue a certificate. For the certificate that accredits achievement you must have completed the course and passed the exam; the one for attendance requires having completed the content.

  • Each certificate has an identifier and a public verification page, with your name, the course, the date and its status. It is not indexable and there is no search by name.
  • You can ask for your name not to appear on that page: it will still say that the certificate is valid, without identifying you.
  • A certificate expires only if the course so establishes, and the page says so before buying. An expired certificate does not disappear: it verifies as «expired».
  • We may revoke a certificate in case of fraud or serious error, and also when the purchase that generated it is refunded. The link stays live and says it was revoked, with the date.

Our certificates are private: they certify that you have done and passed our training. They are not official qualifications and carry no academic recognition.

11. Companies

If you are a company and want to buy seats for your employees, we do it by direct agreement: you tell us the product and how many seats, we register the contract, issue a single invoice with your tax ID and give access to the accounts of the people you tell us.

Each employee has their own account, which is theirs and not the company’s. The company receives a report per seat with: whether they have completed the course, the exam grade, the progress percentage and the last activity by week, never by hour. No schedules or minutes watched.

These terms are consumer terms and govern purchases by individuals: they do not apply as they stand to sales to companies. B2B sales are governed, in addition to the above, by a separate training services contract, which includes a data processing annex on employees’ data and the company’s obligation to inform its staff of the processing (section 2.8 of the privacy policy). That contract is signed in writing with each company before any seat is registered: without a signed contract there is no sale to companies. A seat is one person: it cannot be shared among several employees (section 8.2).

12. Availability and liability

We undertake to use reasonable means to make the platform work, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be stoppages for maintenance or because of third-party failures.

If an outage genuinely prevents you from using what you bought for a relevant period, write to us and we will find the appropriate solution.

Nothing here limits the liability that the law imposes on us towards consumers for lack of conformity of digital content, which has its own section, the next one.

12 bis. If what you bought is not what the product page promised

This is different from everything above, and goes over it: neither the waiver of withdrawal (section 5) nor the 50% limit or the pack rule (section 6) can deny you this right. It is a legal minimum, not a concession from us (articles 115 and following of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, after the reform by Royal Decree-law 7/2021).

12 bis.1. What a lack of conformity is

That what you bought is not what you were promised before paying: a lesson that does not load, a module that is missing, a syllabus different from the one announced on the product page, a broken file, a certificate that the page said was included and does not arrive, a course announced as complete and which is not.

It is not a lack of conformity that you did not like the content, that you expected something else without the page promising it, or that you changed your mind: those are covered by withdrawal (section 5) and our commercial guarantee (section 6), with their own limits.

12 bis.2. What you can ask for, and in what order

  1. First, that we fix it. You have the right to ask us to bring the content into conformity —that we correct the lesson, complete what is missing, repair the file— at no cost to you and within a reasonable time. If we do so within that time, your right ends there: you keep the already corrected content.
  2. If we do not fix it —we do not, we do not in time, it cannot be fixed, or it fails again—, you can choose between asking for a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract, which entitles you to a refund of the amount paid for that product. If the lack of conformity is minor, termination is not available: only the price reduction.

Period: we answer for lack of conformity that appears within two years after the content was made available to you and, if your access lasts longer than those two years, for as long as your access lasts (article 114 of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users). From when the lack of conformity appears you have five years to claim (article 124 of the same law). It is much longer than the period of our commercial guarantee in section 6.

12 bis.3. It is not the same as asking for a commercial refund

When you ask us to review your case, tell us whether it is because the content is not what was promised (this section) or because you changed your mind within the period and consumption limit (section 6): both are requested from the same place —the «request refund» button in your order detail—, but they are resolved differently. If your case is a lack of conformity, it does not matter how much you have consumed: the 50% limit and the «lost on opening» rule for packs and paths do not apply to you.

What is a «reasonable time» to fix it? It depends on what fails: an obvious, isolated fault —a lesson that does not load, a broken file— we resolve in a few working days; something that requires redoing content may take longer, and in that case we give you a specific deadline when we open your case. If we do not give you a deadline or we miss it, you can go straight to the second remedy.

Example: you buy a course whose page promises an exam and a certificate, and when you finish it you discover there is no exam. You write to us, we confirm it as a lack of conformity and add the exam within the time we tell you. If we do it in time, your right ends there. If we do not, you can ask for the part of the price proportionate to what is missing refunded, or a full refund of that product.

13. Changes to the content

Courses are updated: errors are corrected, lessons are added, what is no longer valid is marked as outdated. Each lesson shows the date of its last technical review. If a product changes in a relevant way we may notify you by email, and you can turn that notice off.

We may withdraw a product from sale. Those who have already bought it keep their access on the terms of section 8.1.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms have versions. The version you accepted when buying applies to you. If we publish a new one, we show it to you and ask you to accept it the next time you log in; until then you can read the text, download your data and delete your account.

15. Claims, governing law and courts

For any claim, write to us: it is the quickest route, and we reply.

Today we are not adhered to any alternative consumer dispute resolution system (consumer arbitration or other); if we adhere to one later, we will state it here. As a company domiciled in the Community of Madrid, official complaint forms are available to you: ask for them by writing to [email protected] and we will send them to you.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can claim before the courts of your domicile, on the terms of section 8 of the legal notice.

We do not link the European online dispute resolution platform because it no longer exists: Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 repealed Regulation (EU) 524/2013 which created it, and the platform closed on 20 July 2025.
